Who I Am

I live and work in Southern California where the mountains meet the ocean. About three years ago I developed a passion for distance running. Since then I have run seven marathons with a PR of 3:34:42. After spending nearly nine months rehabbing an injury, I am back to training for my third Los Angeles Marathon on May 25. In addition to running, I play ice hockey, mountain bike, kayak, and snowboard.

I am a volunteer coach for the Tustin Tigers, a Southern California Special Olympics team made up of about 20 special needs athletes participating in soccer, floor hockey, and basketball. I have really enjoyed working with the team and seeing the positive difference I have been able to make.

I love to explore new countries and cultures and have traveled to more than 30 countries on five continents including Asia, Europe, Africa, and North and South America. Most recently I spent nearly two weeks in Peru hiking the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. The 60 mile hike covered more than 14,000 vertical feet of ancient Inca trails leading to the ruined city.

Professionally, I have spent over two and a half years with Coyote Insight, a market research growth-based consultancy specializing in the consumer electronics industry. Coyote Insight employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and works with management to shape strategy. I am also currently working independently on research and marketing projects in the finance and CE industries.

From August 2007 - January 2009, I served as an analyst with Pacific Ridge Capital, a middle-market investment bank in Newport Beach, CA. While there, my primary responsibilities included preparing financial models and offering memorandum on M&A, financing, and consulting projects.
